The benefits of psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing are well established, and yet the challenge of maintaining a healthy state of wellbeing has never been greater. At GRIST we’ve noticed an increasing demand for healthy and supportive workplace environments. Leaders and organisations are devoting more of their time and budgets to supporting wellbeing, recognising that an investment in the health, wellbeing and quality of relationships of their people is an investment in achieving better outcomes for all.

GRIST is proud and excited to help by forming a partnership with Royal Melbourne Hospital and their new health initiative. The Australia-wide 5 Ways to Wellbeing: Make Them Yours Australia health promotion campaign reminds all individuals and workplaces that good emotional and psychological wellbeing is an essential part of being healthy.

This partnership provides our clients with wellbeing resources that complement GRIST’s existing micro-behavioural programs. The 5 Ways to Wellbeing framework incorporates five simple and effective daily behaviours that help your psychological and emotional health to flourish, based on extensive international research.

  • Connect with people around you: family, friends, neighbours and people you meet.

  • Be Active – keep your mind and body active. Step outside, go for a walk, play a sport, dance.

  • Keep Learning – try something new, read a book, learn to sew, take a course.

  • Be Aware of the world around you. Notice the sights, smells and sounds.

  • Help Others – do something kind for a friend or stranger. Thank someone, smile or say hello.

Integration of the healthy behaviours within the 5 Ways to Wellbeing public health message fits seamlessly into any GRIST micro-behavioural program and can easily be supported with adoption tools like YakTrak.
