GRIST e-Newsletter - May 2023
This month we're looking to the future! We looked at what the research says will be the crucial skills of the future in our new Hot Topics webinar, plus created a Future Skills Guide you can access below. Coming up in June, our tactical coaching webinar is all about coaching productivity and back-of-house teams, where we'll be joined by special guests from VicRoads.
In case you missed it...
At GRIST our purpose is to help our clients simplify change and inspire learning, so for our first Hot Topics webinar GRIST Managing Director, Peter Grist and Innovations & Insights Manager, Stacey Makshakova looked at Future Skills. Looking at what’s driving the change, what skills are absolutely necessary for the future workforce of Australia and, how you and your organisation can be best equipped to embrace the change and thrive.
If you missed it, you can watch the full recording here.

Tactical coaching masterclass: productivity & back-of-house teams
Tactical behavioural coaching is a no-brainer for frontline customer-facing teams, but how do you apply it to more nebulous topics of 'productivity'?
We'll be joined by special guests, all who manage back-of-house teams, to talk about how they use tactical coaching to drive performance and behavioural change.
Future-proof your skills
With all the buzz around AI and ChatGPT, no doubt you’ve considered how technology is going to affect the future of your work. Future-proofing your skills and the skills within your organisation will become the key advantage that will give you the edge over your competition.
We've written a 3 part series exploring what's driving this change, how to recession-proof your skills, what skills are absolutely necessary for the future workforce of Australia and how leadership skills will become even more critical.

Go for gold: aggregation of marginal gains
In the Future Skills webinar, Peter Grist advised that to change and reskill our people faster, we need to make the steps we take smaller. This concept of aggregation of marginal gains is not a new one; the principle is based on the theory that making small changes frequently works much more effectively than making big changes less frequently.

How to Create Valuable Team Assessments
Two of our team - Caitlin (Director) and Stacey (Innovation & Insights Manager) caught up with Dr Alaina Szlachta, Learning Architect to talk about approaches to behavioural measurement and how to build engagement and create valuable team assessments. You can join Dr Alaina's livestream in June to see our project in full.
