Charting the Future at Victorian Leaders with Peter Grist

You can’t teach and old do new tricks. Well, it turns out you can if the old dog you are referring to is me. While I have been running a consulting business for over 20 years and I do have some skills and experience to fall back, the challenges posed by rapid advancements in technology has required me to reassess how we deliver value to our clients.

To help me through the process myself, David McQueen and Brad Thomas joined Victorian Leaders - group of business leaders that meets one afternoon a month to learn from experts and each other.
We've had the privilege of hearing invaluable perspectives on AI, marketing, succession planning, macroeconomics, IP protection, and many other essential topics. In addition we engaged four of the companies involved to support our next phase—the merging of two businesses and charting an exciting new future for YakTrak and GRIST. More on that to come…

The key lesson for me is, when you are a bit stuck on the big issues facing your business, reach out to others for a different perspective. It is incredible how generous people are when you ask for help. With so much bad news around, it restores you faith in humanity.

Metrics that matter

Last week we launched our new theme for Tuesday Tips: Metrics that Matter.
The Metrics that Matter series, dives into the key metrics that drive success in contact centers. Over the coming weeks, we’ll explore how you can directly impact these numbers through small, actionable changes.
Remember, every Tuesday at 10am, we'll be posting tips on how you can shift the Metrics that Matter. Follow our GRIST page and hit the bell to get notified about our Tuesday Tips.

Empowering VicRoads’ Leaders with TLC

At VicRoads, change was on the horizon as the organisation transitioned from public to private ownership. During this shift, they took a proactive step with the GRIST TLC program to align their leadership approach with the needs of the future.
We sat down with Damien Boyd, Head of Learning and Development at VicRoads and asked him to share their experience, the program’s impact on team alignment, customer service, and stakeholder engagement. Take a look at how our collaboration helped them navigate this complex journey.
